Pacific Seas Restaurant & Market mural on Redwood Road

About

The Lavulo family kitchen since 1991.

David and Neti (Leti) Lavulo opened Pacific Seas on Redwood Road in Glendale after leaving Nuku’alofa, Tonga. David studied accounting at BYU, then built a family business instead of taking a desk job. The children — including Maryann Tukuafu and Jane Talivakaola — have worked the counter since elementary school.

What you cook at home

“What you cook at home in the islands is what you will receive here.”

Maryann Tukuafu told KSL in 2025. Lu is taro leaves with corned beef or brisket. Palusami is the Samoan taro-leaf plate. Regulars ask to double and triple the lamb. People flying in for Polynesian events pack food for the plane.
